‍ ‍ “about the author’

Logan S. Washington is the author and creator of the Daniel Time universe, a science-fiction and supernatural story world inspired by history, family legacy, Brooklyn, New york, Charlotte, North Carolina, and the power of imagination.

Through Daniel Time, Logan explores themes of destiny, legacy, time, transformation, family history, and the connection between past and present. His fictional world of Idlewild City draws inspiration from real places and memories connected to new york and Charlotte, including park slope, Staten Island, Idlewild Road, Independence Boulevard, and the culture of the 1990s.

Creativity also runs through Logan’s family history. His great-uncle Samuel “Vernon” Washington was an actor, director, writer, producer, and educator whose work included appearances in The Jeffersons, Roots: The Next Generations, The Last Starfighter, and other film and television productions. Vernon’s son, Raymond Lamont Washington, was a Broadway singer, dancer and actor who appeared in the cool world, served as Sammy Davis Jr.’s understudy in Golden Boy, and originated the role of hud in the 1968 broadway production of hair.

That family legacy of storytelling and performance has become part of the inspiration behind Logan’s own work. Through the Daniel Time series, he hopes to preserve history, honor family, create memorable characters, and build a story world that can live beyond one generation.

Logan S. Washington is continuing the Daniel Time series while expanding the world of Idlewild City through new stories, characters, film projects, and creative work.
